The course is aimed at all those who wish to improve their vocal function, regardless of the degree of preparation and knowledge.

Purpose of the work

In this seminar the trainees will experiment with basic exercises in the practice of the Method.
Each member can submit pieces of his repertoire that will be processed in light of the series of connections between body, psyche, sensory organs, environment and sound.
Singing means to relate many different languages (body, sound, music): it is therefore fundamental that the musical act is directed to sensoriality (and therefore guided by perception) rather than to motority. Sensitivity, in the proposal of the Functional Method of the Voice, becomes the guiding element of musical praxis. What is your orientation when you play a song? To muscular activity or sound quality and its relationship with the body? Can the quality of sound determine and transform the quality of the motility of the tissues and of the muscular chain system? Can ergonomics dialogue with models of aesthetics? These are just some of the questions that may arise in the practice of execution, but in this path we discover how the larynx of the singer becomes the center of vibratory irradiation and that everything relates to the resonance of tissues, cartilages, bones, mucous membranes and membranes. Even Mozart or Beethoven pass through our nervous system, their written and seen notes enter the singer system for multiple ways, the vocal act is turned on and sets in motion an infinite network of connections. The sound of the sung voice when it develops in the direction of greater brightness and tonal quality can actually create a state of well-being and inner tranquility freeing the singer from the usual performance anxieties and allowing the sound itself to build the paths within the repertoire musical and not vice versa.

Thematic areas of study:

respiration, larynx, chain of diaphragms, parameters of vocal sound and their effect on the sensory receptor chain.
